The service was amazing and the food was equally as good. If you leave a tip based on how well you were served be prepared to leave a very nice tip. I'm not in Fort Wayne very often but this restaurant will be one I make it a point to go when I am.

My family and I ate a late lunch here on 9 May 2015, around 2PM. The parking lot was relatively full, but we were assisted immediately. There seemed to be many open tables at this time of day, but there was a party/event going on in an area set aside. The place had many of the "required decorations" for Mexican restaurants in the US. I was impressed, however, with some awesome artwork - large black & white portraits of Latino figures in traditional outfits. I recognized many of the figures from movies and TV. The music was pleasant, matched the decor, and was low enough to allow our group to enjoy our conversations. After being seated, the staff brought chips and salsa. The salsa was pale red, and the flavor was bland except for the spice - none of the flavor you expect from fresh veggies. Even the stuff from "New York City" would have tasted better. They took our order, and very soon food arrived - for another table! We "threw a flag on the play," calling for a mid-delivery redirection, to the proper table. The food was taken to the correct table. Our food arrived in reasonable time. Though the place was not "busy" staff forgot two items and had to return with them. I had ordered a plate allowing me to choose two items from about five possible selections - they got one right. I do not send food back, probably because I watch too many comedies involving food. I had also read reviews on Trip Advisor, UrbanSpoon, and Yelp. My hard shell taco was crispy and filled with tasty ground beef - truly filled with the amount I would use, making my own tacos at home. The beef also had good flavor without being greasy. You won't find that at Taco Bell! The lettuce was fresh and the white shredded cheese melted in your mouth. Very good taco. The flour tortillas, for my beans and rice, were a bit doughy. They may have been store-bought, or they may have just been poorly made, or poorly stored. The brightest light in this restaurant was the staff who greeted us upon entering. They made us feel as though we were about to have an enjoyable dining experience and that they cared about us as customers. After reading several up and down reviews on this restaurant, combined with my experience, I will not be returning to Mexico Antigua.

This is another member of the Cebollas group which doesn't disappoint. The menu is similar to Cebollas as well as the prices. The restaurant was decorated very well. Good atmosphere and Mexican flare! I had the Enchiladas Supremas which was excellent. I liked the bean and cheese enchiladas the best. My companion had the fajitas and just raved over them! The chips were good. The salsa was a little thin but had a good flavor. The hot salsa is REALLY HOT for those that like hot stuff. Overall the service was okay - could have been better since the lunch crowd was pretty much gone by time we got there. Give this place a try especially if you like Cebollas and Don Chaves.

Good food! Try the Quesadilla de la Casa. Service is a little slow. But the salsa and chips make up for it. They recently opened the patio, which is nice. For a chain, this place is good! They are a relation to Cebollas here in town. Enjoy!

Great Mexican food and a very courteous staff. Nice outdoor area. I definitely recommend their breakfast buffet on Sunday morning. The atmosphere in both the bar and in the restaurant is pleasing as well.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
